Event Coordinators/Volunteers
Vendor/Food Coordinator - Patricia Moore - This person coordinates other volunteers in insuring that our vendors are happy ! Before the event they will lead other volunteers in making a vendor map, and organizing the vendors for easy set up the day of the event. During our events this coordinator will assist their team in placing the vendors , marking off the road if necessary, and answering their questions. This coordinator in the months before the event will ensure that the vendor apps, 501(c)3 certificates and Insurance certificates are filed with Main Street, and promote our events with potential vendors. Patricia needs 2 or three volunteers to make sure the vendors are happy !
Entertainment Coordinator - Position Open - This person will lead other volunteers as needed in everything entertainment for our festivals. From Booking ideas, to staging and time coordination, to answering questions. Also making sure our sponsorship banners for those events are set up properly and timely to give those sponsors thanks for supporting our event. We need one or two volunteers to make sure the entertainment is happy , and the schedule is adhered to at the main stage,
Two Logistics Coordinators - A.M (7 AM-12:30PM) - Patricia Svorinich - PM Position Open - These two people will lead other volunteers in set-up and clean up detail. They be responsible for all logistics, guests and volunteers- street closing with the City of Newberry, adequate garbage cans in place, check in the middle of the day that those things are running smoothly, as well as clean up after the event and parking. Optimally we will have one Coordinator for the morning and one for the afternoon, in 5 - 5/12 hour shifts. Volunteers you may be "employing" might be the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, church youth groups or such to keep with the clean up detail and smiling faces. We need 6 volunteers for each shift to ensure our festival runs smoothly and our guests are happy !
Poker Run Coordinator - Anne Alfano - FALL FESTIVAL ONLY - We will be conducting an annual Poker/Scrabble Run where Newberry Main Street will profit from some of the proceeds. We need a coordinator to run a team of volunteers. The volunteers needed will run the 4 tables and get registrations, give out poker cards, and scrabble tiles. Anne needs one or two volunteers to help at the Newberry Table.
Historical Home Tour Coordinator - Mr. & Mrs. Jones - Volunteers needed to assist in the Historical Home Tour - Holiday season only - Ticket Takers, home greeters, paperwork person, other tasks. Charles and Leigh need 4 volunteers to ensure people get on and off the carriage ok, and tickets are sold to the Historical Building Tour.
Barbeque Cook Off Coordinator - Bill Conrad - Volunteers needed to assist in this Event - FALL FESTIVAL ONLY - Ticket Takers, Judge Hospitality, Entry team. Bill needs 4 volunteers to sell food and help with the barbeque cook off.
Children Activities Coordinator - Amy Dalusio - Volunteers needed to assist Amy with children's activities for the Fall Festival, and Spring Unity Day Events.
